The red burgundy you've all been waiting for comes from Irancy (89) and you'll love it with coq au vin, farm rabbit or even simple lentils.
Tasting
The wine opens with a fresh nose with aromas of cherry, peony and a slight peppery note. In the mouth, we find the predicted freshness while enjoying the supple tannins around the fruit and sweet spices. It is a wine balanced between freshness and power of the fruit.
Technical
The harvest is carried out manually, 100% destemmed. Fermentation lasts between 12 and 15 days; the aging is done in stainless steel vats and barrels for 12 to 18 months. Bottling is done at the end of aging and marketing is direct from the property.
House
Created in 1963, the Domaine Franck Givaudin, 12 ha strong, is located in Irancy in a winegrower's house built in 1783. Franck Givaudin took over the family business in 1998. He mainly offers red wines of the communal appellation in the name from the village.
